If it were twice as big, I'd call it Indigo.

Last year, I had a lot of fun with my chapters -- I named each one after a similarly-themed town in Saskatchewan. The roadkill scene was in Killdeer, the gossiping was Old Wives, and the werewolves appeared in Dog River.

This year, though, it was 1, 2, 3. Nice and easy. But the (Mac-only-but-I'm-plugging-it-anyway) creative writing program I'm using does such a nice job organising chapters, it seemed a shame not to play around a little.

And then, I realised: I still haven't said a word in my novel about Crimes Against Comedy! Problem solved, then. Chapter 1 was "The Missed Opportunity". Chapter 2: "The Wrong Target". Other future chapters will be other descriptors, like "Trying Too Hard", "Man Getting Hit With Football", and "Overstaying Your Welcome" (ooh, I bet that last one's going to be painful).

You know, when writers tell you to outline your story, I'm pretty sure this isn't what they meant. Meh -- Whatever works.
